Tech Help Direct provides expert IT support for Apple Mac computers (iMac, MacBook) other devices (iPad & iPhone), PC, server, networking, management and much more. Our IT services ae very broad, yet still specialised. We configure, manage and integrate all levels of server and networking environments, cloud systems, point of sale, customer relationship management, accounting software, data–basing software and all other general Apple Mac and PC computer configurations. Our team of IT specialists are driven and motivated to increase the productivity of our clients’ systems and efficiency of their workflows in a friendly and informative manner resulting in minimal interruptions to our end-user’s information technology. We are based in South-East Queensland, servicing the majority of our clients’ between Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Northern New South Wales. Our clients are very diverse and for that reason our team need to adapt to any industry’s objectives with uncompromising workmanship.
Due to company growth, our specialised team are now in urgent need of an experienced full-time Computer Systems Technician. The successful applicant should have the desire, capabilities and technical skills to work in a demanding roleand to maintain professional and friendly relationships with our clients and support their IT problems in a timely and effective manner.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:1. To represent Tech Help Direct in a professional manner by assisting businesses and personal clients with information technology difficulties.2. Professionally correspond with clients through various mediums including email, phone and meetings.3. Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.4. Diligently, troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system/s as required, resolving them accordingly.5. Be familiar with all hardware, software and network operating system/s to implement proactive procedures to limit accountability of data loss or system corruption.6. Provide orientation to new users of existing technology.7. Train staff about potential uses of existing technology.8. Train staff about new and potential use including general IT maintenance procedures and ensure backup procedures are in-place.9. Provide individual training and support on request.10. Provide recommendations about accessing information and support.11. Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance to provide accurate and detailed recordsto invoice client after technical support case file is completed.12. Monitor and maintain technology to ensuremaximum access with ability to troubleshoot all technology issues.13. Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources, offering products (including RAM upgrades, hard drive upgrades or enhance wireless routers) to customers that may enhance their current computing experience and how the product will help them in “layperson terms” that clients can relate to.14. Install work stations.15. Connect and set up hardware.16. Load all required software.17. Provide network accounts and passwords as required, install and maintain “Foolproof” passwords.18. Monitor security of all technology.19. Input and maintain IP addresses.20. Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status.21. Ensure installation of lock out programs.22. Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate.23. Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal.24. Perform other related duties as required during working hours.• Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)• Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)• At least 2 years’ experience in computer hardware and software troubleshooting• Understanding of networking LAN and WAN networks to computers
Other Desirable Criteria:• Windows certificates• Confident in server administration and networking
