During this workshop we will concentrate on how the iPad can be used to create quality content and how this content can be shared. Teachers will have the opportunity to explore a variety of educational apps which focus on creating content for the new Australian Curriculum. Once this content is created they will then be shown how this content can be managed in a school setting.
Some Apps explored in this workshop include:
In 1998, Paul was appointed as an Education Adviser at Bayside District Office and in 2001, he was appointed as the Learning and Development Coordinator at Bayside Learning and Development Centre for ICLT (Information Communication Learning Technology.) In 2003, he moved to Brisbane Catholic Education where he supported teachers to embed ICLT across P-12 schools in the Archdiocese of Brisbane.
Paul was selected as one of the original Apple Distinguished Educators in 2000 and as part of this award presented a poster session at NECC (National Educational Computer Conference) in Chicago 2001 and attended the 10th anniversary Apple Camp at Monterey in 2004. He has presented at international conferences in New Zealand, America and Singapore, which feature practical advice for teachers in how to take advantage of digital learning. Paul has spent the past ten years re-engaging teachers with technology and has often used digital storytelling as an approach to this process. Paul has been very successful working with teachers by taking an approach of adding value to the work they are currently engaged in. He supports teachers to understand how working digitally can assist them with their core teaching of literacy and numeracy.
