Ben Young designs IT solutions and training for schools, so that Tech Help Direct can help bridge the divide between Apple technology, teacher and student. Ben is passionate about helping students love learning with Apple technology. Technology unlocks learning to so many children but too often IT solutions fall short of achieving objectives. Working with many schools over the past 10 years, Ben has found that IT solutions need to be designed to meet the unique learning outcomes of a school.
By designing IT solutions for schools we help bridge the divide between the technology, teacher and the student. The aim of any IT solution for schools should be to engage the student with learning and provide new and creative learning opportunities.
If the technology doesn’t feel comfortable in the hands of the teacher how can the student embrace learning through the technology?
In Ben’s previous role, he built a business that designed Apple integration programs for schools to effectively use technology for learning. Ben has over 16 years experience working in Information Technology and 10 of those years have been for the NSW Department of Education and Communities (DEC), working directly with teachers. Ben has also been a part time teacher in Information Technology for NSW TAFE.
